Several common over-the-counter drugs can lead to hearing loss when taken regularly, including aspirin, NSAIDs such as ibuprofen, and certain antibiotics. Medicines used to treat conditions like cancer, heart failure, and high blood pressure can also lead to hearing loss. The risk of hearing loss increases when taking more than one ototoxic drug regularly.
