Hearing Devices

Absolute Hearing Solutions provides customers with an unmatched selection of hearing devices. Everyone's ears are unique, and the range of hearing devices available at AHS reflects that variety. Our hearing experts can recommend the right device for you, taking into account your degree of hearing loss, individual aesthetic preferences, and budget.

Types of Hearing Devices We Offer

There are several types of hearing devices on the market today. Our experts will perform advanced testing and consult with you on possible options to restore your hearing. We carry three main types of hearing aids.

Behind-the-Ear (BTE) aids, the hearing technology is housed in a plastic casing that is tucked behind the ear; this type of device is typically suited for those with severe hearing loss.

Invisible-in-the-Canal (IIC) or Completely-in-Canal (CIC) devices fit inside the ear canal with either no visibility of the receiver or only a small receiver visible.

In-the-Ear (ITE) and In-the-Canal (ITC) devices are custom-fit to rest inside the outer portion of the ear with just a small portion of the hearing aid visible.

If you have questions about the hearing aids we offer, which option is best suited for specific types of hearing loss, or other hearing-related queries, visit our FAQ page.

Differences Between Hearing Aids and Amplifiers

In the last several years, amplifiers have proliferated on the market as a low-cost alternative to traditional hearing aids. While amplifiers may prove beneficial for individuals with mild hearing loss, it's important to understand that they are limited in their utility.

Over-the-counter amplifiers use a simple microphone to pick up all sounds and amplify them with a speaker. Amplifiers capture and amplify the entire spectrum of sound.

Hearing aids, by contrast, are calibrated to amplify specific frequencies and can be oriented in specific directions, producing a much closer facsimile of the ear's natural function.

If you or a loved one is experiencing hearing loss and would like to learn about all of the different options to restore hearing, please fill out our contact form. The professionals at Absolute Hearing Solutions can get you on your way to hearing clearly.
