     If you’re considering an in-the-ear (ITE) hearing aid, there are several styles to choose from. Invisible in-the-canal (IIC) and completely-in-the-canal (CIC) are the smallest styles and nearly invisible. The main difference is CICs don’t fit as deeply in the ear canal as IICs. They provide high quality sound, but their small size doesn’t usually allow for volume buttons or other manual controls. In-the-canal (ITC) hearing aids are still small but less discreet. Many people find them more comfortable because they sit in the lower portion of the outer ear. Their slightly larger size allows for more controls and features. Low-profile hearing aids are a bit larger than ITCs, making them easier to handle.
